Find wholesale chat rooms and message boards. There are many message boards on the Internet today that are devoted to a wide range of discussions. You may find boards on wholesale, distribution, supply chain, etc. All of these may lead you in the direction of a wholesale distributor.

However, if you want to get up and running fast, or just don’t have the time to go on a search for wholesale distributors much less ones that drop ship, then the way to go is drop ship directories. These are usually pay services that search out drop shippers for you then give you access to their contacts; there are many of these on the Internet today, and many are very good. As with anything on the Internet you must be very careful of the scams out there. Many drop ship directories will end up giving you an outdated list of wholesalers, or when you contact them you will find that they are a true wholesale distributor but they do not drop ship.

Here are some pieces of advice when looking for a quality drop ship directory:

Stay away from the cheap ones! Obviously with everything else in this world you will get what you pay for. If you find one out their for three dollars, you probably are not going to get a good product. In general the one’s that offer the best information are charging $60 or more for a six month membership.

Look for one’s that will do specialty searches! If you get into a drop ship directory and find that they do not have any products that you would like to sell, or think you can sell, then make sure they will go out and find it for you. If they do not do specialty searches then you will end up being stuck with whatever listings they have no matter what.
Find one with a Satisfaction Guarantee! There are several drop ship directories out there that offer a guarantee that all of their listings are true drop shippers, but in my opinion this is not enough. If you get into their directory and find that they have five hundred listings for widget suppliers and they are all real wholesalers you are out your money and only have access to one product. Make sure they guarantee your satisfaction with their product no matter what, especially if you are going to shell out seventy dollars of your hard earned money.

Look for ones that are going to help you out as well, not just give you a list. Do they offer articles and help material on starting your business or are all they just going to give you listings and nothing else.

Sooner or later, he must come back out, just like the ant in the spring to start all over again and begin again. Of course John doesn’t want to start all over again every time. He figures he finally did it right and can finally retire, enjoy life and reap the benefits of his work. It always crumbles down, his rewards never last, then he has to begin again.

Mark on the other hand, he is rich today. Just a little older than I am and he has been enjoying the benefits of Freedom for almost 20 years now. Not only has he been enjoying this Freedom, but his capital has been growing ever since. He didn’t completely stop for the winter and enjoy his rewards. He spends his time helping those wanting to follow in his footsteps and build the same business he has been building. He helps people around him who are in need and don’t have the luxuries he benefits from. He also helps make the system he created work better with his presence in it, his positive attitude and mindset which increases the cash flow proportionally much higher than his invested time at the present.

The difference between John and Mark is that one thinks he can work once and benefit the luxuries from it, enjoy life and forget everyone else. Only think of himself. As the other one spends some of his time helping others. His selfless acts attract even more people closer to him and his business. He reads more and then talks about those books in his everyday vocabulary. His mindset shifted from learning, to doing and then teaching. And to be a better teacher, he learns some more. If we look around us, the people that are successful in life, for the majority of them, are people that help others succeed as well. Whether it is in business or their personal lives, they manage to help those looking to achieve the same lucky strikes they have brought onto themselves.

If luck was just random. It would be spread out evenly to everyone on this planet. I think we make our own luck. We decide consciously or unconsciously whether we get good luck or not. We decide it by our actions, our thoughts, our mindset. If you want better advantages, follow in the foot steps of the ones that have made it for themselves and change your mindset to match their way of thinking. And then keep the wealth of the luck going by helping others achieve what they cannot achieve on their own, then you will grow your own wealth with this luck you have created for yourself. If you jump in and start dumping tons of money in to advertising without first testing your advertising, you might find yourself broke and without sales at the end of the road. Most people who commit this error write off their failure on the home business they chose or the economy or any of a hundred other excuses. But, if they are unwilling to take responsibility for their mistake, they will never learn from their mistake. Don’t let this be you.

LESSON #2

All testing should be done in blocks. If you begin to advertise simultaneously in newspapers, radio and television, how will you know which advertising is bringing people to your cash register? You won’t. All you will know that something might be working, but you will not know what is actually doing the trick.

Even if you tell people in your advertising to tell you how they found you, my experience shows that fewer than 10% of the people ever will tell you anything — and those people who do may not even get the facts straight! You cannot rely on your customers to tell you what advertising is working for your home business. You must put in the extra effort to know for yourself.

LESSON #3

Only when you have a proven and solid advertising portfolio should you venture to drop big bucks in an advertising campaign. Even then, you should be careful to keep further measurements to determine how much the maximum advantage of an ad would be. Sometimes you might be able to reach ten times as many people, but depending on the kind of media and other factors, the additional exposure will only generate twice as many sales. Keep your eye attuned to situations like this to get the most from your advertising dollars.

LESSON #4

As Lesson #3 illustrates, sometimes your best advertising investment may actually cost you less money. When you are first starting out, whether you are running a home business or a business outside of your home, you need to be able to get people talking and thinking about your business.

If you are busy testing ads in media’s such as the newspaper, magazines, radio, and television, you need to learn ways of promoting your business that do not require large cash expenditures. A few examples are:
